Good to know
How are business days counted?
Positive numbers count forward and negative numbers count backward. Choose at least one working weekday. Public holidays and custom dates never count, even on a selected weekday. The final working day counts; the start date counts only when enabled. Zero days keeps the start date before any adjustment.
How does deadline adjustment work?
Choose Adjust a deadline to move the start date to the next or previous working day when needed. An already working date stays unchanged. A workday planner, not a statutory or contractual deadline calculation.
Which holiday rules apply?
Uses the same holiday data as Calendar. Nordic rules before 1995 are historical projections. UK published dates cover 2019–2028; other years are projections without exceptional holidays. Future rules may change. Open Calendar for sources and coverage.
What does a shared link contain?
Workweek, holiday region, dates and counting rules are included. Custom non-working dates are excluded unless you select the explicit sharing option. A link without custom dates opens without the recipient’s locally saved custom dates, so private dates may change the answer.

Holidays in view
Holiday rules, history & sources
Dates use the Gregorian calendar extended to years 0001–9999. Before 1995, these are rule projections, not a verified historical holiday calendar. Earlier Julian calendars and Sweden’s calendar transitions are not reconstructed. UK published dates cover 2019–2028, including one-off holidays; outside that window UK dates are recurring-rule projections without exceptional holidays. Future projections assume the laws remain unchanged; published UK years take precedence.
Known changes included: Norway’s 1 and 17 May from 1947; Denmark’s Store bededag from 1686 through 2023; Sweden’s National Day replaces Whit Monday from 2005. Other pre-1995 rules are projected. Sundays are shown as weekends; the holiday list names specific holidays. Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Swedish Midsummer Eve and Danish Constitution Day are not counted as national public holidays. Denmark covers Denmark proper, not Greenland or the Faroe Islands.
Working days mean Monday–Friday minus distinct public-holiday dates. Weekends are not deducted twice. UK bank holidays use their published or calculated substitute weekdays; Nordic holidays are not shifted to Monday. Employment agreements can provide other days off.
