Payment-date adjustment

Find the payment date when the original date falls on a weekend or public holiday.

Working days are Monday–Friday. These are public-holiday calendars, not financial-market settlement calendars.

How payment-date rules work

Following moves forward to a working day; Preceding moves backward. Their Modified variants reverse direction if the first result falls in a different month. Keep the original date makes no adjustment.

For example, 31 January 2026 is a Saturday. With weekends excluded, Following gives 2 February. Modified Following gives 30 January to stay in January.

Calendar coverage and sources

Holiday calculations cover 1995–2100. Nordic dates use the site’s country rules; future years assume those rules remain unchanged. UK calendars use published dates for 2019–2028 and recurring-rule projections outside those years. Exceptional holidays may be missing from projections.

Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are not automatically days off. This tool does not model bank closing days or a particular contract’s calendar.
